Under Siege
Segment #720
Eric Trump’s book makes a strong case that very few individuals or families cold have withstood what this family went through since 2015. It is impossible to extend grace and credibility to those on the left that refuse to reciprocate. Trump was nearly killed, almost bankrupted, threatened with prison, humiliated, and betrayed by many. Failing to acknowledge much of the dishonesty and corruption that drove this effort is obscene. Much of what Trump has said is inappropriate. But he is authentic and I will take that over the alternative every time.
INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER NATIONAL BESTSELLER In this eye-opening memoir, Eric Trump relays surprising and gripping moments throughout his life and career as part of one of America’s most prominent families. From his earliest memories of growing up as part of the Trump family to pivotal roles in the 2016 and 2024 presidential elections, spearheading strategies to combat lawfare, and leading the Trump Organization, Eric has been deeply invested in all aspects of his family’s legacy. As one of his father’s original apprentices, Eric has always strived to build on that foundation. As the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization since 2015, Eric has navigated the dual worlds of politics and business, growing the company, while battling unprecedented opposition from the media, Democrats, and ongoing legal challenges. From raids on his childhood home, Mar-a-Lago, to near assassination attempts, from Russiagate to cold and corrupt court rooms, the fake news media, censorship, and character smears—this wasn’t just an attack on a president, or even his family. America itself was under siege. In this book, Eric offers an unfiltered look at the highs and lows of life in the Trump world; how he took the reins of a multibillion-dollar empire at thirty-three years old; enlightening stories from real estate to the boardroom of The Celebrity Apprentice, and the chaos of the campaign trail.
On Monday, President Donald Trump responded to the death of Rob Reiner on his Truth Social platform.
Context of Hate Justifying Violence
Multiple left leaning media have “fact checked” this statement and have reported that Reiner never said this. Notably, there is no report of Reiner ever having condemned any of the violence against Trump.
To be fair what Trump stated in a very inelegant way may have been true. Reiner was under enormous pressure having to deal with his son and his 18 trips to rehab, We can only imagine the conflict that must have existed inside the Reiner’s home creating an impossible situation destined to end badly. We should all extend a little compassion to both the Trump and Reiner families.
This is an interesting interview where Reiner comes off as a good guy who may be believing the wrong people. Listening to this again demonstrates if we could get to the table that just maybe we could talk. 1:05 they talk a bit about Trump and Maher position is more nuanced than Reiner
Rob Reiner swings by Club Random for a fast, funny hang with Bill. They dig into the long-awaited Spinal Tap sequel – 41 years later – recounting how both films were built from nothing more than an outline and pure chaos. From Johnny Carson to TikTok, they unpack the loss of a shared audience, trade sharp lines on aging, health, and bathroom wisdom, and rewind to All in the Family, the groundbreaking show that changed television and culture forever.
