As US society is seemingly moving in a direction that minimizes performance and outcome, there are still public and private areas of employment where ultimately pass or fail is unavoidable. Globally the health care is almost irretrievably corrupt; however, sometimes hubris, arrogance, and stupidity make it possible to ignore the results as manifested in death and destruction of families and lives.

As of January 2021 the US ranked 96 out of 116 countries in the world. Fauci led this effort.
