Talarico Trans Man is A Liar and A Con
Segment #1049
Political disagreement is democracy. Deliberately deceiving voters is not. Talarico publicly presents himself as a man of God, bound by a Christian moral code. That makes honesty fundamental to the standard he claims for himself. When a politician knowingly lies to manipulate voters, he isn't persuading them—he's conning them. If Talarico has done that, the issue isn't his politics. It's his integrity. Talarico is a despicable con man attempting to destroy this country with progressive far left values that are light years away from the main stream. Our media is no better and should be shunned for failing to at least represent his positions honestly. Power is their God.
In 2023, Talarico voted against Texas SB 14, which prohibited physicians from providing minors certain medical interventions for gender transition, including puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and transition surgeries. During the legislative fight, he argued that these decisions belonged primarily with parents, doctors and patients rather than politicians. He also supported amendments that would have preserved access to puberty blockers and hormones for some minors, including children diagnosed with severe gender dysphoria. Those amendments nevertheless maintained restrictions on surgeries.
His public language at the time makes his position still clearer. At a 2023 Pride legislative event, discussing SB 14, Talarico said: “I trust parents and doctors to make decisions for kids, and not politicians in Austin.” He described gender-affirming care as important health care for transgender children.
His record goes beyond medical treatment. In 2021, he opposed legislation requiring K–12 athletes to compete according to the sex on their birth certificates. During that debate he said the legislation was a “manufactured problem,” argued that lawmakers were trying to “hurt trans kids,” and said that “some things are more important than perfectly fair competition in sports.” He subsequently voted against HB 25, which imposed the restriction.
Now consider the September 13, 2026 recording. A woman specifically raised her transgender niece and participation in girls' sports. Talarico answered:
“Always. The way I fought for trans kids in the legislature is how I will fight for them in the U.S. Senate. And my position hasn’t changed.”
He then said these questions should be decided “sport by sport, athlete by athlete” at the local level and described his approach as the most “inclusive” policy among the candidates.
So there is an important distinction. It would be too narrow to interpret “fight for trans kids” merely as a generic promise to protect transgender children from discrimination. His previous record gives the phrase substantive policy content: he opposed categorical restrictions on transgender minors' access to puberty blockers and hormone treatment; favored leaving such medical decisions substantially to families and physicians; opposed categorical sex-based restrictions on school athletics; and repeatedly defended transgender children in legislative debates.
But there's also an important limit to what the evidence establishes. It would go too far to translate his 2026 statement into “I will transition children” or “I support sex-change surgery on children.” Talarico currently says he supports a national prohibition on gender-transition surgery for minors. And the amendments he supported in 2023 that would have preserved some puberty-blocker and hormone access still restricted surgery.
The politically significant issue is therefore the apparent tension between his older record and his current presentation. On September 9 he said he would oppose transgender athletes competing in girls' sports when safety or fairness is threatened. Four days later, privately speaking to someone presenting herself as a supporter, he said his position “hasn't changed” and explicitly connected what he would do in the Senate with what he had done in the Texas Legislature. The Texas Tribune itself characterized his September 9 sports position as a reversal from his previous legislative position.
That doesn't establish which interpretation of his current policy he would ultimately follow in every case. But his legislative record is absolutely relevant evidence for interpreting what he meant by “the way I fought for trans kids.” The strongest factual description is: historically, that included defending minors' access to some medical transition treatments and opposing blanket restrictions on transgender participation in girls' sports, while his current stated position draws a line against transition surgery for minors and allows sports restrictions based on safety or fairness.
That is considerably more specific than simply saying he meant he would “support trans kids.”
