Accepting Incompetency is a Choice

Our day to day life can be somewhat overwhelming to the point that we become numb to the realities of what we come bit by bit to accepting. We need to focus on the fact that accepting incompetency and corruption is a choice only as long as we take the time to make it. When the list is examined, what we have accepted over the past four years either tacitly by not voting or overtly by not being informed is shocking.

IRAN - FOREIGN POLICY

Iran's financial situation in 2019 was characterized by severe economic challenges, primarily due to the re-imposition of U.S. sanctions in 2018. The country's GDP shrank by an estimated 9.5% in 2019, following a 4.8% contraction in 2018.This decline was largely attributed to the sanctions' impact on Iran's oil exports and industrial production. (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-48119109)

Iran's oil exports have steadily increased since Biden took office, reaching a five-year high of 3.4 million barrels per day in early 2024.The regime has earned upwards of $100 billion from oil sales alone during Biden's term. Proceeds from oil sales are helping Tehran's regional terror proxies fund attacks on Israel, American forces, and Western shipping vessels. (https://freebeacon.com/national-security/illicit-iranian-oil-sales-hit-90-billion-under-biden-fueling-tehrans-terror-proxies/)

Without Iranian support, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis would face significant challenges in maintaining their current levels of operation and influence. Here's an analysis of how Iranian support impacts each group: (https://time.com/7027530/israel-missile-attack-iran-oil-sanctions/)

It was a choice to accept the incompetency of the Biden foreign policy. It cost the lives of many and billions of dollars in damage.

IMMIGRATION

We have written extensively about immigration and the high cost we have paid for an open border. For the Biden administration it was all well planned and purposeful.

The damage done to our educational system, our national healthcare, our welfare system, law enforcement has been significant. Accepting this incompetency and corruption is a choice.

EDUCATION

Mathematics

The U.S. has seen a significant decline in math scores in recent years:

  • In the 2022 Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), U.S. 15-year-olds ranked 26th out of 81 participating education systems in math, up from 29th in 2018

  • Among the 37 OECD member countries, the U.S. ranked 28th in math

  • The average U.S. math score fell by 13 points between 2018 and 2022

This decline is part of a broader global trend, as 25 out of 37 OECD countries saw at least a 10-point drop in average math scores from 2018 to 2022 (https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2024/04/24/most-americans-think-us-k-12-stem-education-isnt-above-average-but-test-results-paint-a-mixed-picture/)

Reading

The U.S. performance in reading has remained relatively stable:

  • In the 2022 PISA, the U.S. ranked 6th in reading among the 81 participating education systems, up from 8th in 2018

  • The U.S. reading scores did not show a statistically significant change between 2018 and 2022

School choice is becoming a major issue in many communities as our educational systems fails to meet standards. The Department of Education’s budget for 2025 is 82.4 billion and our K - 12 scores are either not improving or they are declining. Accepting incompetency in education is choice

HEALTHCARE

In 1980, life expectancy at birth in the U.S. and in comparably large and wealthy countries was similar, but over recent decades, life expectancy improved by much more in peer nations than it has in the U.S. The COVID-19 pandemic  increased mortality  and premature death rates  in the U.S. by more than it did in most peer countries, widening a gap that already existed before the pandemic.

This chart collection examines how life expectancy in the U.S. compares to that of other similarly large and wealthy countries in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Life expectancy in the U.S. decreased by 1.3 years from 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic to 2022, whereas in peer countries life expectancies fell by an average of 0.5 years in this period. Life expectancy began rebounding from the effects of the pandemic earlier in 2021 in most peer nations. While life expectancy in the U.S. increased by 1.1 years from 2021 to 2022, U.S. life expectancy is still well below pre-pandemic levels and continues to lag behind life expectancy in comparable countries, on average.

The U.S. has the lowest life expectancy among large, wealthy countries while it far outspends its peers on healthcare (https://www.healthsystemtracker.org/chart-collection/u-s-life-expectancy-compare-countries/)

Accepting a corrupt and incompetent healthcare system is a choice.

ECONOMY

Inflation is a true measure of the overall health of the economy and the buying power of the average citizen. The month inflation rate for December 2019 was .2 % and 2.5% adjusted annually. With a peak annual adjusted inflation rate 8 % in 2022 prices have gone up 20% based on average inflation numbers.

Overall food price increase: (https://www.ers.usda.gov/data-products/food-price-outlook/summary-findings/)

  • From November 2020 to March 2024, food prices rose by 25.8%.

  • From 2019 to 2024 (5 years), food prices increased by 28%.

Housing Affordability: (https://www.cnbc.com/2024/06/25/housing-affordability-price-mortgage-rates.html)

  • In nearly half of metro areas, buyers now need to earn more than $100,000 to afford a median-priced home, compared to only 11% of markets in 2021.

  • Affordability has declined by more than 40% since February 2020 in all markets.

  1. Rental market:

  • Rental prices have increased by 26% compared to 2020.

  • 50% of U.S. renters now consider their housing unaffordable, a record high.

Based on the search results provided, here's a summary of energy cost increases from 2020 to 2024:

  1. Electricity:

  • Prices rose 3.6% over the last 12 months (as of March 2024), outpacing the broader inflation rate of 3.2%.

  • The average residential electricity price increased from 13.20 cents/kWh in 2020 to 15.98 cents/kWh in 2023, an increase of about 21% over 3 years.

  • The U.S. Energy Information Administration forecasts average residential electricity prices to reach 16.23 cents/kWh in 2025, the highest level in almost three decades.

  1. Natural Gas:

  • Natural gas prices increased by about 35% from early 2020 to January 2024.

  • In early 2020, natural gas cost just over $1.00 per therm (the approximate average daily consumption of a U.S. household in a warmer climate).

  • By January 2024, the price had risen to about $1.35 per therm.

  1. Overall Energy Costs:

  • The average daily electricity use in the U.S. was about 30% pricier in early 2024 compared to four years ago.

  • Energy prices showed the most continuous rise among major consumer expenses.

When the Biden Administration is cutting carbon based fuels in favor of Green energy proposals our energy costs become a choice of whether we want to accept the competency and corruption of energy management
