Watchdog President Uncovers $350 Million in Secret Payments to Fauci, Collins, Others at NIH
Segment # 057
Openthebooks.com, Judicial Watch, EpochTimes.com, and the Senate conservatives on HHS committee are determined to learn the source, the amount, and the payee for literally millions of dollars paid to government workers in royalties for work they did while working for the government. Judicial Watch is suing the NIH which to date has produced heavily redacted documents that basically reveal nothing. Judicial Watch is suing to get unredacted documents. If the Republicans take control of the Senate, this will be one of the issues that will be pursued that should put Fauci and Collins under scrutiny.
In order to better understand the potential conflicts of interest at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), we spoke with Adam Andrzejewski, CEO and founder of OpenTheBooks.com.
He explained to us that according to redacted documents he was able to obtain, it was revealed that an estimated $350 million in undisclosed royalties were paid to the NIH and hundreds of its scientists, including the agency’s recently departed director, Dr. Francis Collins, and Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Fauci makes almost $500,000 a year on top of royalty payments (which they won’t disclose) from inventions (they will not disclose) utilized by for profit companies (which they won’t disclose) in the pharmaceutical industry. The obvious conflict of interest with big Pharma that funds much of CDC and FDA actvities is huge. Royalty payments were created in 2005 to provide an extra incentive to scientist to invent new procedures and drugs with the understanding that such a program could only exist with complete transparency. There is no transparency and clearly Fauci, Collins and the acting NIH head are lying.
Senate conservatives on HHS will not accept that and have sent the demand letter above.
