Calls are mounting for Secret Service Chief Kimberly Cheatle to resign after the failed assassination attempt Saturday on former President Donald Trump that many suspect was caused by her “diversity, equity, and inclusion” policies. Cheatle has been a major proponent of DEI programs. The Secret Service’s website is replete with resources for every variety of group, ranging from the LGBTQ community to women, native Americans, and the disabled. Frequently the federal law enforcement agency’s DEI literature discusses retaining or recruiting individuals from a particular group without any mention of merit or qualifications.

Secret Service Blasted: 'Go After DEI, You End Up With DIE' - Dallas Express

The LGBT DEI page is instructive. It lists three goals, which are at least in part influenced by Biden administration executive orders. Verbatim, these are:

Goal 1 – Identify barriers to recruitment, promotion, and retention of LGBT employees / applicants.

Goal 2 – Review organizational policies and procedures which could potentially inhibit equity in the USSS.

Goal 3 – Create a LGBT Employee Resource Group (ERG) for USSS employees (and allies).

Cheatle has also previously announced sweeping advancement programs for women, which were not tempered with restrictions that such programs would only be available to qualified women. In an interview with CBS, Cheatle was quoted as saying she wanted to have “30% women recruits by 2030.”

The program has come under scrutiny after agents allegedly repeatedly failed to heed warnings from spectators about an armed man climbing a rooftop near where Trump was speaking, failed to neutralize the would-be assassin before he managed to fire off as many as eight shots, and failed to follow established procedure in evacuating Trump.

The consequent perception of incompetence was only heightened by images and videos of short, overweight female agents fumbling with sunglasses and unable to quickly holster their guns. Despite having a female agent standing in front of Trump, her shorter stature left much of Trump’s torso and head completely exposed, which experts say would have been fatal had there been a second shooter present.

Former U.S. Army sniper Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) called the Secret Service’s handling of the situation “massive negligence,” explaining that the shot should not have gone off, in an interview with Fox.    “I can tell you, under this Biden administration, the one thing I’ve seen is massive DEI hires and I can tell you when you primarily go after DEI, you end up with DIE,” he said.

The bottom line is this is a massive security breach. This is a huge failure, negligence at best,” said Mills, noting that the investigation needed to determine how a shooter was allowed to get within 200 yards of the president.    “Let us also remember that King Henry the Second went in and said, ‘Can no one rid me of this turbulent priest?’ And his knights went out and killed the Archbishop of Canterbury because they thought that was a direct order,” Mills continued. “What do you say when President Biden says, ‘It’s time to put a target on Trump.’ That, in my opinion, is the inciteful rhetoric – that’s the stuff that they would have went after for the J6 stuff, so why don’t we have our own J13 investigation?”

Social media was full of commentary on the apparent incompetence of some of the agents surrounding Trump.   “Watching the ladies at work here,” wrote television correspondent Sheryl Attkisson, best known for her two decades with CBS.

DISTURBING: New Information About The Assassination Attempt Emerges (Ep. 2288) - 07/17/2024

Bongino served in th Secret Service as an active agent for 12 years. He knows what it is going on. His friends in the SS are telling him what’s going on.. Bongino is getting more info than any source I found..  And this is not good. Evident;ly Majorkas is muzzling Cheatle for fear of what she knows about the screwups and the allocation of Secret Service assets. We need the site survey which is no longer classified.

Tucker Carlson: ‘Not Crazy’ to Think ’It Wasn’t Just a Lone Gunman’

Two days after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, political commentator Tucker Carlson says, “It’s not crazy to think that there was something there, it was an effort to kill Trump, it wasn’t just a lone gunman.” The assailant crawled on to a nearby rooftop Saturday night while Trump was on stage at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, 33 miles north of Pittsburgh. The shooter fired multiple shots, shirking Trump in the right ear. It remains unclear how the gunman, who was killed, was not seen and neutralized by authorities prior to opening fire. “At some point we may find out what happened on Saturday,” Carlson says. The Daily Signal caught up with Carlson behind the scenes of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee Monday to asked about the implications of the assassination attempt on the election, and Trump’s selection of Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, for vice president.

Emergency Episode: Former CIA Agent On Trump Assassination Attempt - Mike Baker

An emergency episode in the wake of this past weekend. No ads, no edits — just a raw, unfiltered conversation with former Central Intelligence Agency officer and security expert Mike Baker.

"Something 'FISHY And Suspicious' About Trump Assassination Attempt" Says Security Expert

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZz2fRcOpzQ

Gunfire erupted at a Donald Trump rally on Saturday, sparking panic in the crowd and spattering the Republican presidential candidate with blood, before he emerged and defiantly pumped his fist in the air and was ushered to a waiting car. Trump grimaced and grabbed his ear before security hustled him away, his red "Make America Great Again" hat knocked off. The Secret Service and the former president's campaign said Trump was safe following the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles (50 km) north of Pittsburgh. Live video showed blood spattered on Trump's right cheek and ear. Downing Street in the United Kingdom issued a statement about the shooting: “We are shocked by the scenes at President Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. We condemn all forms of political violence in the strongest terms and we send our best wishes to President Trump and his family at this time." Cristo speaks with international security expert Will Geddes.

Video shows shooter at Trump rally moments before assassination attempt

Former President Donald Trump was the target of an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally Saturday that set off panic as a bloodied Trump was surrounded by Secret Service and hurried into his vehicle. A former fire chief attending the rally with family was killed, as was the gunman. Two other people were critically wounded. The Associated Press obtained video showing the shooter on a rooftop moments before the attack. Signs of trouble were evident in the minutes before shots rang out at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania: Police had a report of a suspicious man pacing near the magnetometers and were apparently exchanging photos of the suspect. Witnesses pointed and shouted at an armed man on a nearby roof. When a police officer climbed up to the roof to investigate, the gunman turned and pointed his rifle at him. But the officer did not — or could not — fire a single shot. A sniper cut down 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks within seconds of him firing an AR-style rifle toward the former president, but it was too late. Now investigators are trying to painstakingly piece together how an armed man with no military background managed to reach high ground and get the jump on teams of Secret Service agents.

Madeline Brame, mom of slain Afghanistan war vet murdered in NYC, blasts ‘soft-on-crime’ Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg at RNC 2024

Army Sgt. Hason Correa's mom, Madeline Brame, blasts Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg (nypost.com)

A mother whose Army veteran son was murdered in the Big Apple slammed Manhattan’s Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday for releasing the “homicidal maniacs” who killed her son.     “He received enemy fire from the Taliban only to be murdered by a knife in New York City,” Madeline Brame said of her son, Sgt. Hason Correa.

Brame said the group of individuals responsible for her son’s death were “initially facing justice” but that “changed when District Attorney Alvin Bragg was elected.”   Her son, a 35-year-old Afghanistan war veteran, was fatally beaten and stabbed by a group of four people during a scuffle outside a Harlem apartment building six years ago.

When You Have No Argument, Call It a Conspiracy Theory

Hunter Biden’s laptop was called a conspiracy theory… it wasn’t. Trump’s collusion with the Russians was presented as a fact-based conspiracy theory. The open border was presented as a conspiracy theory because our government insisted it was secure. And I could go on. The point is that conspiracy theories are described as fact, and facts are described as conspiracy theories. A courtroom lawyer once suggested that when you have the facts, push the facts….. but when you have no facts, pound the table. It is all a diversion. It’s all manipulation. It’s trying to con you into looking the other way. Insisting something is a conspiracy theory is not an argument. This is precisely why you should be asking more questions. There is little confidence in the CIA, FBI, DOJ, and now the Secret Service, primarily because they see labeling something as a conspiracy theory the end game.

What scares the hell out of many of us is the security failure was so egregious in the Trump assassination attempt, YOU HAVE TO ASK QUESTIONS.

I can only hope we have no agenda that contributed to these events. Ultimately, the facts will lead us to where it leads us.

It is ironic that just before the assassination attempt, many in the media and Democrat leadership were calling Trump ‘Hitler’ and his candidacy a threat to the very existence of our democracy, where he would imprison his rivals and tear up the constitution. Just after the attempt, these same people sent their “thoughts and prayers” and called for “unity and civility”. Either he is Hitler, and all whackos should be encouraged to go after him, or he is not Hitler, and they are despicable and just trying to sleeze their way into maintaining power. This is not new, and I am sure you remember when they put a bullseye on Sarah Palin.

Hey, now we have a new target. When JD Vance wrote Hillbilly Elegy, where it remained on the best NY Times seller list for over a year, and  they released the book-based movie in 2020. Tonight, Vance speaks to the Republican Convention, and you can guarantee the attacks will be ferocious, inappropriate, and baseless.

JD Vance and his story represent exactly the demographic the Dems have taken for granted, so I hope their attacks drive these folks right into the Republican tent.

There’s plenty of room.

Rep. Cory Mills:   ‘ This Is Massive Negligence To The Point Of Asking What Was Intentional And What Wasn't  ‘

Former U.S. Army sniper Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) assesses the failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.   "You could literally just look quickly, glance and know from the reference point, whether it be a building, whether it be a lone tree, whether it be a parking lot, maybe it's a road. Bottom line is that this is massive negligence to the point of me speculating on what was intentional and what wasn't," Mills told FOX News host Jesse Watters on Sunday.

Dan Bongino: The Secret Service Failure Here is Catastrophic   https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2024/07/14/dan_bongino_the_secret_service_failure_here_is_catastrophic.html

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino comments on the failure of the Secret Service to properly protect former President Donald Trump during a failed assassination attempt.

DAN BONGINO:  “The bunting around the front of the stage is probably armor. Donald Trump knew to duck. I mean, most people would. He saved his own life. That's just a fact. The evacuation did not go right.    I mean, the rule with the Secret Service is cover the protectee and evacuate. The other rule is maximum to the protectee, minimum to the problem. Why minimum to the problem? Because you don't know that's the only problem.”
It could be a distraction. There could be another person in the crowd. So if you don't jump on the protectee, you could be looking at multiple shooters. So at least that part, the guys there, you know, stepped up there. But the failure here is absolutely catastrophic. And I got to tell you, the Secret Service should be very careful.
I can tell you and absolutely confirm from the horse's mouth from multiple people, not just one. And I saw Congressman Waltz text this out before on X. There have been repeated requests to increase the security footprint around not just the residences of Donald Trump, but the body itself. And they have been rebuffed.

Like I said, I can tell you actual quotes. The Secret Service directors completely failed and candidly should resign today. Kim Cheatle has failed Donald Trump and honestly failed Joe Biden too. He's the president right now. Where's the DHS secretary? I mean, this is you're blaming it on manpower. So just to be clear, we're a $4 trillion United States government and we can't fork over enough money to keep our people alive.
And then you're sending out tweets like, oh, this is the best technology we have really to let a sniper 150 yards away from the potential next president shoot a piece of his ear off. That's your victory lap. Give me a break, man.

Dan Bongino questions security measures following Trump assassination attempt   https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/presidential/3081911/dan-bongino-questions-security-measures-following-trump-assassination-attempt/

A former Secret Service agent says the agency’s head should resign immediately for her “apocalyptic security failure” after former President Donald Trump narrowly escaped assassination.      As the Secret Service defends its security protocol at the Pennsylvania rally where a shooter opened fire on Trump, Dan Bongino is calling for Director Kimberly Cheatle to step down.

Bongino served in the Secret Service for 12 years. The podcast host responded to a statement the agency put out following the assassination attempt claiming it had “added protective resources & technology & capabilities as part of the increased campaign travel tempo.”    The former Secret Service agent slammed the agency’s refusal to own responsibility for the security breach.

This is the best technology we have’? Really? To let a sniper 150 yards away from the potential next president shoot a piece of his ear off?” Bongino told Fox News. “Kimberly Cheatle has failed Donald Trump, and honestly failed Joe Biden too”

U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle speaks during a Republican National Convention security news conference Thursday, June 6, 2024, in Milwaukee.                 At left is FBI special agent Michael Hensle.

Questions are mounting over how the shooter was able to gain access to a rooftop 150 yards from the president’s podium on Saturday evening. Witnesses say they tried to warn the Secret Service detail and police officers present at the event for minutes before Thomas Matthew Crooks pulled the trigger.    Bongino expressed surprise that Secret Service counter snipers failed to kill Crooks before he opened fire on the president.

We’re trained out to 1,000 yards in the Secret Service with the counter-sniper team. How did they miss someone at most one-fifth of the way there? It doesn’t make any sense. And even worse, it’s broad daylight on a white roof.”       While the Secret Service has emphatically denied reports that Trump’s security detail asked for, and were denied, reinforcements, Bongino says he can prove otherwise. “I can tell you actual quotes,” he said on Sunday
