The Merits of a Circular Firing Squad

A circular firing squad has a cleansing effect on failed agendas sometimes resulting in an emergence of new ideas. For those of us on the outside looking in, it seems highly implausible that anyone on the left could have possibly believed Biden when he said he was not going to pardon his son. Biden constantly brought up his family and how devoted he was to his son “the smartest and most honorable man I know”. The laptop had been confirmed as real and there was substantial evidence that Hunter and his father were complicit in corrupt business deals. How could Biden possibly take the chance that information could be exposed in court? Obviously, he couldn’t.
Certainly as a candidate for his second term as President, Biden had a benefit by saying he would not pardon his son. But did he really have to make a definitive statement? No, any father or mother would have accepted a statement that he planned to address it at the appropriate time. Regardless of the corruption no parent would expect a father to let his son rot in jail on principle. Regardless miraculously (at the time) many Dems rejected all the signals he sent about his family and actually believed that Biden would let his kid go to prison.
Ok , fast forward to today and the pardon. The Dem crisis management people should all be fired. Everybody should just shut the F up. Biden should apologize and say as a father on reflection I just couldn’t bear to have my son go to jail. Period.. no more, no questions. And for the rest of the Dems, either believers or non believers, just shut the F up. And say we are really sorry this certainly isn’t a great day for the justice system but a father’s love for his son obviously took priority. We apologize for misleading the American public. Period.. no more. No questions.
As a conservative, please keep talking, tearing your hair out and attacking each other. It only emphasizes the disdain you have for the voters, who if they had to vote again now, would elect Trump by even greater majority. Hello Dems there is a point to that statement.
The segments below are fascinating. I think you will see some of the talking heads are absolutely incredulous that Biden pardoned his son. Some react like petulant children asking how could he do this to us. Others find a way to blame Trump for Biden pardoning his son.. It’s all crazy but fascinating US politics

And the bottom line that apparently Dems don’t as they fail to know when to shut up is Hunter and presumably the rest of the Biden family who receive pardons will lose all their 5th Amendment privileges. If you don’t think the Trump DOJ will take advantage of this reality, you might be as naive as some of the Dems organizing their own circular firing squads.
