The Docs Just Nailed Obama
Segment #554
The legacy media will tell you that the allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election is old news and has been rehashed over and over gain. True to some extent but what they don’t want you to know is that Russian interference is the distraction not the story. After Trump was elected, there is plenty of documentation stating the the Russians had little if any impact on the election. However, the December 9, 2016 meeting that Obama convened proves that the president ordered his intel community to promote the opposite conclusion to discredit Trump and his Administration through his first term into Biden’s presidency. Gabbard has the docs and the whistleblowers. This is very for real and one more problem the Dems need to deal with. The documents will speak for themselves
Claims and Allegations
In July 2025, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard and some news outlets released and reported on declassified documents that they said show the Obama administration and top national security officials ordered intelligence agencies to create or politicize the narrative of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Gabbard stated that these documents present "overwhelming evidence" of a "treasonous conspiracy," alleged to have been initiated at the behest of President Obama, to manufacture intelligence in order to undermine President-elect Donald Trump.
Key Points of These Newly Cited Documents
Tasking for New Assessment: After the November 2016 election, intelligence leaders—per Obama’s request—were tasked to produce a new assessment focused on the tools Moscow used and the actions Russia allegedly took to influence the election, in contrast to earlier intelligence community reports suggesting Russia was "probably not trying… to influence the election by using cyber means".
Alleged Politicization: The new assessment, completed in January 2017, contradicted prior intelligence community findings and helped underpin public claims about Russian interference.
Summary of Accusations: The accusations claim that this process was orchestrated to "subvert the will of the American people" and had lasting effects, including further investigations, political turmoil, and two impeachments of President Trump.
Reactions and Context
Obama Office Response: A spokesperson for former President Obama and multiple Democratic intelligence officials have rejected these accusations, labeling them a "bizarre" and "ridiculous" distraction, and highlighting that similar claims have been repeatedly investigated and found unsupported by previous bipartisan inquiries.
December 9, 2016: Obama White House Meeting
A key meeting regarding Russian involvement in the 2016 U.S. presidential election took place in the White House on December 9, 2016. This meeting gathered top members of the National Security Council Principals Committee—including James Clapper, John Brennan, Susan Rice, John Kerry, Loretta Lynch, Andrew McCabe, and others—to specifically discuss the Russian activities during the election period.
Details from Declassified Records
The meeting followed several days of internal discussion within the intelligence community about Russian cyber activities and their potential impact on U.S. elections. Earlier drafts of intelligence assessments (Presidential Daily Briefs, PDBs) had generally indicated Russian and criminal actors did not impact election results by conducting malicious cyber activities against voting infrastructure.
After the December 9 meeting, an email from Director of National Intelligence James Clapper’s assistant tasked intelligence community leaders with creating a new assessment “per the President’s request.” This assessment was to detail the “tools Moscow used and actions it took to influence the 2016 election,” and was led by the ODNI with participation from CIA, FBI, NSA, and DHS.
This process resulted in the public release of a new Intelligence Community Assessment on January 6, 2017, which formally asserted that Russia had interfered in the election to benefit Donald Trump.
Declassified summaries indicate that after the Dec. 9 meeting, officials also agreed to recommend sanctions on members of the Russian military and intelligence apparatus in response to cyber activities targeting the election.
Media and Official Descriptions
News organizations at the time reported that President Obama had ordered a “full review” of any malicious cyber activity connected to election interference, a step confirmed by White House spokespeople and published in contemporaneous records.
These actions have become the subject of intense debate in recent years, with some new claims alleging that the December 9, 2016, meeting marked a turning point in U.S. intelligence assessments. Critics argue this review process was politically motivated, while prior bipartisan and nonpartisan investigations maintain there was Russian interference, with no proven evidence of fabrication ordered by Obama.
In summary, the Obama White House did convene a high-level meeting on December 9, 2016, to discuss Russian election interference, leading to further assessment and public reporting by the intelligence community in the weeks that followed. Look at the documentation before the meeting and compare it to the documentation after the meeting. Then consider all the various means the Dems used to go after Trump ranging from personal law suits, impeachment and two attempted assassinations.
