Secret Diary of Mary Pinchot
Segment # 423
This is a fascinating subject that has many links on YouTube if you want further info.. just search Mary Pinchot and you will have it. This has been percolating since the 60’s. Why do we care now? We care because more JFK files have been released and will be released in the coming weeks. Scholars now have more info to piece together known and uncorroborated facts. Much of the Warren Commission’s findings are being challenged. Mary Pinchot was a close friend and mistress of JFK. Pinchot was assassinated with a bullet to the back and then a kill shot to the back of the head, She was not robbed. Kennedy allegedly said part of the government speaks while the other part of the government acts…. I am afraid of the government that acts. Clearly he was referring to the deep state unelected bureaucrats.
If logic was the only option, it certainly appears that people within our government to include the FBI, CIA, and Congress didn’t like JFK’s politics and knowing they could not beat him politically, killed him. Like so many of the horrendous acts uncovered by our government revealing all this information brings few benefits other than knowledge. The subsequent political upheaval and the lawsuits where basically we are suing ourselves, make it a bad option. As distasteful as it is, we need legislation to give liability protection to the government while we hold the individuals culpable in our judicial system. That is the only way this corruption will stop.
he secret diary of Mary Pinchot Meyer refers to a now-infamous personal journal kept by Mary Eno Pinchot Meyer, a Washington socialite, artist, and former wife of CIA official Cord Meyer. She is perhaps best known for her alleged romantic relationship with President John F. Kennedy, and her mysterious murder in 1964, which remains unsolved.
Background on Mary Pinchot Meyer
Born: October 14, 1920
Died: October 12, 1964 (murdered in Georgetown, Washington, D.C.)
Connections: Her family was part of the East Coast elite. She attended Vassar and was married to Cord Meyer, a high-ranking CIA officer.
Relationship with JFK: Allegedly became Kennedy’s lover during his presidency, as described in various books and journalistic accounts.
The Diary
After Mary Meyer was murdered while walking along the C&O Canal towpath in D.C., her friend James Jesus Angleton—a high-ranking CIA counterintelligence chief—reportedly broke into her Georgetown studio in search of her private diary, which she was rumored to have kept.
According to several sources, including her friend Anne Truitt, Angleton recovered the diary and eventually turned it over to Mary’s sister, Antoinette Pinchot "Tony" Bradlee (then married to Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee).
Bradlee and Tony claimed they later burned the diary, although the circumstances and content have been hotly debated.
Alleged Content of the Diary
The diary allegedly contained:
Details of her affair with JFK.
Her belief that Kennedy was becoming more peace-oriented before his assassination.
Possible experimentation with LSD with Timothy Leary (Leary wrote about her later).
Suspicions about the U.S. intelligence community and Kennedy’s death.
Public Interest
Books and Investigations:
"Mary's Mosaic" by Peter Janney (2012) explores the idea that Mary was murdered because she knew too much about JFK's assassination.
Timothy Leary’s "Flashbacks" and other accounts described her interest in using psychedelics for consciousness expansion and political awakening.
Her murder remains unsolved. The suspect, Ray Crump Jr., was acquitted in 1965 due to lack of evidence.
