There is a writer somewhere in the White House that should be spanked and then fired for the drivel he or she wrote as a prepared statement for the First Lady. Second the staffer that approved the note should be fired and banned to JImmy Kimmel’s late night “comedy” show. Third “Dr.” Jil Biden should be given a special award for a lack of self awareness and sympathy for what has happened and what continues to happen in Western North Carolina largely because of the incompetence of FEMA. OBLIVIOUS should be capitalized.
Jill Biden did not write a personal note about the Christmas tree. Instead, she delivered prepared remarks about the 2024 White House Christmas tree during its arrival ceremony.

(Note: Hello Jill you probably should have been aware that cutting down the last tree standing amidst the loss of 1000’s may not be the symbolism you are looking for in western North Carolina. At the very least it might require a carefully worded sensitive statement or gesture to convey your great sense of loss.)
