Ivermectin Continues to Surprise

Segment #390

For years CDC and NIH have made broad pronouncements that there is no proven link to this or that etc. The reason, of course, was that CDC and NIH refused to fund the studies that might prove the links. Many physicians in their place discussed the merits of observational studies which were literally a return to “old time medicine” where docs observed you, formulated a treatment plan, and then observed whether it worked. In early 2020 the pioneer docs were having success with Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine and they bucked the system and went with what worked. Its a new world and you can freely do your own research and decide for yourself.

Dr. William Makis is a Canadian physician specializing in nuclear medicine, radiology, and oncology. He previously served at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Alberta, where he contributed to one of North America's largest clinics for Targeted Radionuclide Therapy for cancer. Throughout his career, Dr. Makis has conducted over 10,000 cancer diagnoses utilizing advanced imaging technologies such as PET/CT. His research portfolio includes more than 100 peer-reviewed publications focusing on nuclear medicine, PET/CT imaging, and targeted radionuclide therapy. search.cpsa.ca+6Apple Podcasts+6Amazon Music+6

In recent years, Dr. Makis has been featured on various podcasts discussing his experiences and perspectives on medical practices and institutional challenges. For instance, he appeared on the Shaun Newman Podcast, where he discussed his tenure at the Cross Cancer Institute, his legal battles, and his observations regarding health authorities. Additionally, he was a guest on the "Designed To Heal" podcast, sharing insights into his medical career and viewpoints on emerging health concerns. Apple Podcasts+1Spotify+1X (formerly Twitter)+2Amazon Music+2Apple Podcasts+2Apple Podcasts

"[Ivermectin has] amazing topical applications...[I've been flooded] with...testimonials of people's skin cancers disappearing...after a few months...applying it...the skin cancer literally falls off...[people with] the worst type of acne...[are] seeing relief..." Radiologist, oncologist, and cancer researcher Dr. William Makis (

…How ivermectin—a broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent with multiple mechanisms of action—has "amazing topical applications," which include treating skin cancers and the worst types of acne. Makis notes that people "start putting [ivermectin] on things and trying things, and then [he gets] flooded with all these testimonials of people's skin cancers disappearing." The physician adds, "after a few months of applying it topically, [their] skin cancer literally falls off. It falls off; it's gone."

"But [it's] an incredible drug and not just taking it orally, but it has also amazing topical applications as well... Good old horse paste from Tractor Supply... people just start putting it on their skin... They start putting it on things and trying things. And then I get flooded with all these testimonials of people's skin cancers disappearing. "They start putting it on basal cell carcinomas or squamous cell or even melanomas. And they see these lesions shrinking right before their eyes. And again, you know, there's no research published on this and yet people are trying it. They're seeing the results. And if, you know, after a few months of applying it topically, the skin cancer literally falls off. It falls off, it's gone. "And, you know, people are treating all kinds of skin conditions [including] severe acne. I've had some patients with the cystic acne, which is the worst type of acne you can have, seeing relief for the first time and they've tried every medication there is out there. The dermatologist prescribed them every medication, they've had no relief, they try ivermectin, [and] they're seeing relief for the first time. "So you can apply it topically as well. Some really incredible stories coming out. People with with nodules—lipomas or lesions. I have breast cancer patients that have, for example, auxiliary lymph nodes. They're putting topical ivermectin on and they can feel the cancerous lymph nodes shrinking as time goes on. So just an incredible and versatile drug."

Dr. William Makis: Using Ivermectin To Heal Cancer, Including COVID-Vaccine-Induced Turbo Cancer

Dr. Paul Marik, a critical care physician and co-founder of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), has been an advocate for alternative treatments, including ivermectin, for various conditions. He has also discussed potential cancer treatments involving repurposed drugs.

Marik supports a metabolic approach to cancer treatment, which focuses on targeting cancer cells' metabolism rather than just their genetic mutations. This approach often includes:

  • Repurposed Drugs: Medications like ivermectin, fenbendazole, doxycycline, metformin, and statins have been explored for their potential anti-cancer effects.

  • Nutritional Therapies: Ketogenic diets and fasting strategies have been suggested to limit glucose, which some believe could starve cancer cells.

  • Supplements & Anti-Inflammatory Agents: Curcumin, vitamin D, and omega-3s have been proposed as adjunct therapies.

Scientific Standing

While some preclinical studies suggest that repurposed drugs may have anti-cancer effects, clinical evidence remains limited, and mainstream oncologists typically do not recommend these treatments outside of clinical trials. The standard of care for cancer (e.g., surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy) remains the most evidence-based approach.

Would you like help finding recent studies, alternative oncologists, or ongoing clinical trials related to metabolic cancer treatments?
