Kamala said here what she should have said to appeal to a broad base to include those in the center and right that hated Trump. As we saw, her progressive left had nothing but contempt for those on the right and dissuaded her from any unifying positions.
Biden’s statement certainly undermined Kamala; however, it did reflect the mindset of a significant portion of the democrat electorate.
This campaign became historically significant for the prominent Democrats that became Trump supporters. It should have been a signal to the Democrat leadership that their progressive policies were out of mainstream America even with the media on their side.
Self loathing hatred of America is an efficient way to divide America; but it is not a good way to sell your plan to govern.
The Dems apparently not understanding that most Americans not only oppose an open border but also emphatically vote against financial support for illegals over American citizens, openly will try to block the lawful deportation of illegals. It is only a matter of time as sanctuary cities and states become a magnet and cesspool for illegal dependence on social services, that their strategy will fail. The blue cities and states can’t possibly win this fight when the right controls federal sources of funding.
The trend is red and if the Dems don’t reject their progressive left, it will continue
The progressive left will fight like hell to make life miserable for Trump and his efforts to carry out what he perceives as a mandate for change. Ironically, this opposition will further erode Democrat support with independents and center left voters. As the the right pursues their inevitable investigations, it will become apparent the degree with which the legacy media lied to their viewers. There will be a greater movement towards independent news sources as the White House news conferences gives prominent seats for the first time to podcasters and independent news sources. In short if enlightened leadership doesn’t suddenly appear among Democrat leadership, they are to put delicately screwed. Many Dem leaders are planning on pursuing a 2016 strategy. That will be precisely what the right needs to happen
