Free Speech is Never Guaranteed

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
With the Biden Administration censorship become accepted as they even flirted with a Disinformation Government Board. The Disinformation Governance Board (DGB) was a short-lived advisory body established by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on April 27, 2022, and dissolved on August 24, 2022. Its primary purpose was to provide guidance on combating misinformation, malinformation, and disinformation. Despite its stated goals, the board's existence was short-lived due to escalating public outcry and political pressure. Within three weeks of its formation, it was effectively paused, with Mayorkas later announcing its dissolution amid ongoing debates about government involvement in regulating speech online.
Nothing is guaranteed in this world and in giving government power to govern is also giving government power to abuse. Unfortunately, “democracies” around the world seem all too willing to give up their personal freedoms for what is being sold as security.

Well, amazingly, Europe is the same! Europeans don’t have the free speech to disparage the royal families or even presidents and prime ministers! Germany: “Disparaging” the president is a crime. Can land you in jail for 5 years! France: Until 2013, was a crime to “offend” the President. Now “defamation” can result in fines. Liberte! Sweden: You can burn the Quran but not insult the king of Sweden! That means six years in jail! Similar protection for the royal families in the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Belgium etc. Italy, Iceland, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia: Insulting or defaming the leaders => prison sentence! And then are all kinds of “hate speech” laws, which basically silence people from talking about the biggest lies and psy ops spread by globalists. Wars, of course, result in a whole slew of censorship. Russian media are banned in Europe; and people are sent to jail for expressing “pro-Russia” sentiments on social media! Hypocrites of the beautiful garden!
Canada is in Big Trouble
We should give thanks to all political leaders left or right that are willing to defend our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and our First Amendment. Just maybe the rest of the world will see freedom of speech as the essential element for any true democracy.
