Banana Republic or Totalitarian State?

Segment # 181

As the election nears, we need to ask the right questions. And it certainly is not “are you red or blue?” We need to ask if our basic values and rights granted by the U.S. Constitution are being protected. The First Amendment is crucial to our way of life. Below I discuss freedom of speech and what happens when we lose it. It is not hyperbolic to say thousands died, economies were ruined, and families were irretrievably destroyed.

It is very difficult in this tribalistic country, which has been indoctrinated to be divided, to exchange ideas. Ultimately, the values we share form the foundation of the country we live in and hope to protect. But that is precisely the point. There are significant forces at work that want to tear down our traditions, our values, and any hope of unity. Freedom of speech and the free and open exchange of ideas is the strength of our political system. We as a people, both left and right, are squandering this precious gift and are permitting ourselves to be manipulated. Remember decades ago during the Vietnam War when we began to see the American flag burned? When the courts ruled that such activity was and should be allowed as freedom of speech, we were appalled but we understood. We learned the First Amendment had to protect the speech that the majority found offensive. It is the very basis of being free to say whatever you want, if you are within the law, without regard to censorship. There is no totalitarian system past, present, or future that has, does, or will permit freedom of speech. Dictating speech on any topic is authoritarian and we all need to ask if we want to continue down this path.

We are told that we live in a democratic republic in which our speech is protected.. but is it? We see many forms of government-mandated or coerced censorship in our lives today. Fauci held that he represented science which is nonsense. The more important point is that in a system of protected free speech, the fraud perpetrated below would likely not have happened. There were many doctors early on, like Paul McCullough, Pierre Kory, Paul Marik, Simone Gold, Robert Malone, Tess Lawrie, that spoke up against government COVID policies, and they were immediately discredited, de-platformed, censored, in some cases fired, and often brought before medical boards. Now, three years later, we find that much of what they said was true. But you hear nothing from the censors, the hospitals, government agencies, or medical boards to apologize or reinstate their targets. Why? Because they are terrified that the totalitarian construct will crumble and their power to censor information in the future will be seriously diminished. But the battle goes on and the American public is wiser for having had the COVID experience. The trust in the government and the “standard of care” has plummeted thanks to the corrupt politicians we elected and the greedy power-hungry medical experts we trusted.

We have had the chance to learn a great deal from COVID. We learned in Deborah Birx’s book that in her own words “6 feet of separation” was made up and not science-based. Dr.’s Fauci, Redfield, and Collins confirmed this. We also learned that the flimsy cloth and paper masks did more harm than good.

We have learned in Pfizer’s testimony before the EU that they never tested for preventing transmission.

This testimony is totally contrary to the public pronouncements of Pfizer, the U.S. government, and our media. Preventing the spread was the rationale for closing schools, locking down communities, and destroying 200,000 small businesses.
